If the same horse wins the first two legs, with a minimum of eight (8) starters in each leg, and wins the final leg with less than eight (8) starters, a “consolation” payment of $8,000 will be paid to the winning connections.

1st leg (March 29, 2008): $6,000 Hourglass Jewellers Juvenile, 2yo Set Weights and Penalties, 1000m (plus $4,000 TROBIS Bonus), Pioneer Park Racecourse.

2nd leg (April 19, 2008): $12,000 Emily Wines Dash, 2yo Set Weights and Penalties, 1100m (plus $4,000 TROBIS Bonus), Pioneer Park Racecourse.

3rd leg (May 5, 2008): $15,000 William Inglis and Son Red Centre Classic, 2yo Set Weights and Penalties, 1200m (plus $12,000 Red Centre Yearling Sale Bonus and $4,000 TROBIS Bonus), Pioneer Park Racecourse.

CONDITIONS:

1. Unless otherwise determined in these conditions, or unless the context otherwise requires, all terms used in the conditions shall be interpreted and defined in accordance with the Rules of Racing.

2. A dead-heat for first shall be considered a win for the purpose of the Bonus.

3. The nominator, at the date on which the nominations close for the running of each Bonus race, shall be entitled to payment of the Bonus should the horse be successful in each of the three specified races, provided each race has a minimum of eight (8) starters. However, should a horse be entitled to payment of the Bonus by winning each of the three legs, but the final leg of the Triple Crown has less than eight (8) starters, a consolation payment of $8,000 will be paid.

4. The Bonus payment shall be deemed to be a prize for the purpose of the Rules of Racing and the normal rules as to the distribution of prizes between nominator, trainer and jockey will apply.

5. In the event of there being a change of trainer during the period in which the abovementioned races are run, the trainer’s percentage of the Bonus payment shall be shared pro-rata, and one-third of the total trainer’s percentage shall be paid to the trainer of the successful horse in each race.

6. In the event of a successful horse being ridden in the Bonus races by more than one rider, the total percentage payable to the winning rider will be shared pro-rata, and one-third of the total jockey’s percentage shall be paid for each winning ride.

7. All legs of the Triple Crown must have a minimum of eight (8) starters to qualify for the Bonus. However, should the same horse win each of the legs and the final leg has less than eight (8) starters, the connections of that horse will be eligible for the “consolation” prize of $8,000.
